“Our house often became party HQ during the carnival, on Lancaster Road, London, during the Notting Hill Carnival. I was two, with lots of my dad’s friends and fellow musicians coming in and out – people like Gaz Mayall the DJ and son of the blues musician John Mayall, and Don Letts, a Rasta who worked alongside The Clash in their heyday. All one community. ” for more on Joe Strummer click here
